Michael Bay blows stuff up for Transformers 3 in Chicago
The production of Transformers 3 moved to Chicago over the weekend. Director Michael Bay and actors Tyrese and Shia Labeouf were in town to film scenes for the third film in the Dreamworks franchise. Shooting took place on the city’s Michigan Avenue on Friday where the area was turned into a disaster area. Bay spoke with the local press about shooting in Chicago.
“It’s just a beautiful place. I’ve been all over the world, and this is truly a great place to shoot,” Bay said. Michigan Avenue is “the most iconic view of the city, in both directions,” Bay added. “It’s not like an alley. It’s beautiful architecture, 360 degrees.”
