The mighty Slash Film are reporting that the costume for Green Lantern in the film of the same name from director Martin Campbell will be entirely created by CG. The blog reports that the filmmakers have designed a motion-capture suit with tracking LEDs for its star Ryan Reynolds to wear. The famous green and black costume will then be added in post-production.
Mark Strong, Peter Sarsgaard, Blake Lively, Tim Robbins and Angela Bassett all star in the film based on the DC Comics property that is set to arrive in cinemas next year.

Very excited about this. Any GL fan will know that the suit is actually a construct and not actual fabric in the comics. So the idea that it will be CG in the movie makes sense.
Just as a side note: not to get all comicbook geeky on you, but the picture is not the character Ryan will be playing (Hal Jordan), but a different GL named Kyle Rayner who wears a different suit.
