Benny Boom will direct S.W.A.T.: Fire-Fight!

The Movie Insider are reporting that a sequel is in the works for the super little actioner S.W.A.T and producer Neil Moritz has hired Next Day Air helmer Benny Boom to direct it.
The film is titled S.W.A.T.: Fire-Fight and has a script already in play from The Shield writer Reed Steiner. The original film earned a considerable $200 million at the box-office. The first flick, which was released in 2003 was directed by Clark Johnson, and starred Colin Farrell, Samuel L Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Michelle Rodriguez.
The plot goes something like this:
Transferred to Detroit to put a local SWAT team through a training regimen, LAPD Lieutenant Paul Cutler finds himself the target of a homicidal genius who is protected by government officials.
