Helen Mirren will star opposite Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman in the thriller Red, according to Variety.The film, housed over at Summit Entertaiment, is based on the WildStorm/ DC comic book of the same name.
The three-book series, published in 2003 and 2004, follows a former black-ops CIA agent who lives a quiet life in retirement until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him.
The film is set to go into production in January in Toronto and Louisiana. It has a release date set for Nov. 19, 2010.
