Robert Pattinson was unsure of a career in acting

TWILIGHT star Robert Pattinson has said that he was unsure about becoming an actor prior to getting the lead role in last year's massive teenage vampire flick.

"Before I got the role in Twilight, I didn't really know what I was doing. I didn't know if I did want to be an actor," he told the Daily Star.

"I hadn't got to university and I was just bumming around and not feeling particularly good at anything. At the time I was desperately thinking I would never reach or achieve my goals."

Pattinson has just finished up work on the sequel, NEW MOON.
