JacksonFamily456.jpgThe Telegraph newspaper in the UK are reporting that Michael Jackson's family are finalising plans for the late star's funeral.

Members of his family held a series of telephone conference calls with police and city planners over the arrangements.

With as many as 200,000 people predicted to converge on Los Angeles the city's police chief has set aside a special unit to co-ordinate plans.

The paper's website also published a series of suggestions as to what may happen.

Sources said the family wanted a private service for close friends and immediate family.

But such is the interest in Jackson and his untimely death that the service would be relayed via loudspeaker to crowds who are expected to line the streets.

One suggestion is that officials are also looking at beaming the service into sports arenas, such as the Staples Centre in downtown Los Angeles where thousands of fans could gather.
