Charles Gibson to make debut with The Goblin

Visual effects guru Charles Gibson is to make his directorial debut with the family comedy THE GOBLIN, according to Variety.

The story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn't want them there.

Gibson won visual-effects Oscars for Babe and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. He performed visual effects and second unit directing on the "Pirates" franchise and Terminator Salvation.
